Pretty place for a strip mall, prices are a little high for the type of food but the service is very friendly. Only been there once but would try it again, loved the sampler appetizer platter.

Mezes serves good Greek food and has had good service every time I have visited. 1.) If you enjoy gyro plates, this place is for you. They have top notch lamb which was very tasty. This is what I usually order in a Greek place. Their other meals range from 12-20 dollars and most are tasty. One visit my Grandfather ordered the Flank Steak and was not impressed, unless deep fried that cut of meat usually sucks. 2.) They have some great Greek apps and good hummus. They seem to make fresh in house hummus which I got into while living in Boston. 3.) The service and atmosphere was nice. While I was never there when it was crowded the service was always attentive. The tables and the floor were clean for any neat freak out there. If you live in Davie/Plantation area I recommend you check this place out before thinking about eating at a bar or TGI Friday's.

We love this place! The food is very fresh and authentic. My Greek friend recommended this to us and we really enjoyed it. It is located in a strip mall, so the atmosphere is not great, but go if you want really good Greek food.

My wife and I ate at Mezes last night and we were disappointed!!! The food was mediocre and the service was painfully slow, on a busy night I can understand but this was Monday and we were the one of two tables in the whole restaurant. My biggest complaint, which seems to be a problem with this restaurant based on some other reviews, was the early bird (sunset) special. We did not go for the special, because we did not know they had one, we just wanted to have an early dinner. We ordered off the regular menu after the waitress told us about the blackboard specials leaving out the fact they have a sunset menu before 6:00 and we were seated a little after 5:30. We ordered our meal and it was okay but not spectacular, the hummus was good and my wife enjoyed the mussaka. We paid our bill and left, then I decided to check the menu in the window to see if they had an octopus dish that I like, there I saw the "sunset menu" so I went in and asked the waitress why it was not in our menus? She said it was certainly in there so she showed us and it was indeed in the menu...on the back of the last page! I said why didn't you inform us of the special, and she said I should look through the entire menu. She also said nobody has ever approached her for something like this before. Not surprising since the restaurant seems to be empty at this time. The "manager" came over and was no help, basically I explained the situation and he said the he would talk to the waitresses then said but the waitress "do not mention the specials" so what is he going to talk to them about? It seems like this is their policy. We left without kind of compensation, or closure, I told him we will not be back! I would advise not to go there and if you want good Greek food I would recommend Greek Islands Taverna.

Went on a Friday evening, the place was nice in a shopping center. The hummus with flatbread was amazing, they bring it to you before you order for free ! :) never been here before so I honestly didn't know they didn't have any vegetarian dishes... I ordered a pasta dish tbh it was really gross watered down mess, & tasteless... & also $12.. My husband got one of their signature dishes and he was happy with it that's the only reason why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. Not coming again

Yes!! So happy I tried this place! Great, home cooked food! Good-sized portions and healthy! The ambiance is casual, but the food is delish!

This is always so yummy. The way I like to enjoy the food here is order about 5 appetizers (soup and salad) and just enjoy the mezze experience. The Horitaki salad is really good and has no lettuce. The turkish pumpkin soup is excellent. Grilled octopus is surprisingly delish. Falafel were served piping hot and on a salad of their own. Get the dolma. Hummus is an absolute necessity. Mythos beer goes well with the meal.

Love love love! The lamb chops and lemon chicken are excellent. Place was so good we went twice in one weekend! Sangria is also surprisingly good. A must go for people that live in Pembroke Pines as there are very few good restaurant options in the area.

Consistently excellent food; it's our go-to place for healthy restaurant food that tastes great and is simple, fresh, and delicious. The boyfriend (who is born/raised Greek) and I regularly go there, and it's always been very good. What's worked for us: keftedakia, pork souvlaki, lamb chops (also the surf 'n turf), salads, gyro platter, skirt steak. The only thing that didn't work for me was the Mousaka, which was a shame because I absolutely LOVE a well-made mousaka. (Hit me up if you have a recommendation!) Try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. It's simple, good food prepared very well.

Okay, I'm on a roll with 5 star reviews but seriously, this place is that good! So good in fact, i'm writing this 3 weeks after having eaten there because I remember I HAD TO let my fellow Yelpers know about this spot. First, let me say, I'm from Miami and not from P. Pines but will absolutely go back, just so my husband can try other items (I took him leftovers which he happily chowed down). I visited this little gem with my mom when we were in the neighborhood shopping (way better than shopping in Miami). At the recommendation of Yelp, I said this was the place to go for lunch. The service was great upon arrival all the way to the end. I have to ask a lot of questions because of diet sensitivities but our server was terrific and patient! I love Greek food; my mom doesn't even know what that is but I said she had to try it! She was visiting in town from South Dakota. She ordered the stuffed peppers and I had the keftedes sandwich. Now, I don't normally eat pita or bread because I'm 90% gluten-free and I don't eat added sugar, ever. However, when they told me the bread doesn't have any added sugar, it sounded too good to pass on. It was delicious! And their homemade fries were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Their tzatziki was also amaze-balls (as my friend would say). We also had the hummus to start, and I just ate it alone. Drool worthy. My mom raved about her stuffed peppers, and this woman is not an adventurous food eater. We both ate heartily and still had half of our plates filled with food which is what we took home to my husband who devoured it all. He lived in Turkey and traveled a lot to Greece so believe me when I say this man knows authentic Greek cuisine. We will most certainly visit again, even if it is a 40-minute drive:)

I went off based on the reviews on yelp and was expecting it to be De-Lish but was a little disappointed. Had their "award winning" sangria but it was crazy sweet and didn't have much alcohol in it. They served complimentary pita bread with hummus which was nice - the bread was warm and the hummus garlicky :) had the fried cheese appetizer which was YUM-mo!! Would def order that again. I ordered the moussaka and lemon potatoes as my entire. The potatoes were good but the main dish lacked flavor. Dessert on the other hand was really yummy - I had the Galaktoboureko which seemed like a mix between flan and bread pudding to me. That was pretty good and was my favorite out of the entire night. All in all my experience was OK.

This is the first time I've been here. My husband and I went for dinner. I had a glass of white wine and my husband had the Mithos beer. The hummus and pita was complimentary and we ordered the lamb and beef patties to try something new. The patties were delicious and the tzatziki sauce enhanced the yummy flavors. I had the stuffed eggplant and my hubby had the pasticio which was very similar to lasagna. All the food was great, the portions were reasonable for the price. I would definitely go back and try more of the menu

I had 40 minutes to eat and I spent 10 driving down a long stretch of road that only had warehouses and offices on either side. Thanks to Yelp (once again) I quickly read some reviews and made a bee-line to Mezes. We ordered Spanikopita, Hummus, Keftadakia & Gyro platter. The hummus came with warm pita that had a perfect little bit of a crunch on the edges from being toasted. The hummus has a great consistency and just the right amount of garlic. The Spanikopita was my least favorite and I would not order it again. The ratio of spinach to cheese, albeit authentic, was just not to my liking. The phyllo dough was soggy I suppose from being reheated for serving. The Gyro was delish as expected, but isn't served with any Tzaziki whatsoever...weird. The Keftadakia with tzaziki was my favorite!! Perfectly seasoned patties, juicy and hot. I tore that dish up! I ordered it as an appetizer so it came with 2 patties and a bit of tzaziki. But I noticed after that they offer it as a platter too. As far as ambience, I enjoy the gentle Greek music playing throughout very much. The space however is a little cold mostly due to it's size but that could be fixed easily, I think. The place was very clean, which I truly appreciate. I spotted the owner working here, and that was cool. The staff seem to be well trained. They are attentive and they keep busy. This was a very nice find and I will be back if ever in the area. Thanks Yelp!

We hadn't been here in a couple of years (we prefer Ethos or the Greek Taverna restaurants) but tonight we were hungry and the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed. (We parked in front of Casa Borinquen but didn't go in when we saw chairs on the tables and a woman mopping the floor. The hours on Yelp said it was open until 10 p.m. but it was obvious we had to figure out a different place to eat and this was nearby.) Mezes was busy. A hostess escorted us past several occupied tables to a two top in the center of the floor. We quickly ordered entrees and were served bread and a thin hummus while we waited for our food. Steffano, our server, was efficient and courteous. He brought our entrees soon after delivering the bread and hummus. I had the spanokopita dinner - (over)dressed Greek salad with briny, creamy feta cheese, spinach pie, and quartered potatoes with Greek seasoning. Even though the salad was heavily dressed, I ate just about all of it! The spanikopita filling was tasty but didn't taste like fresh spinach, more like it mellowed with time. And the phyllo dough was well done. I'm not a big potato fan but I enjoyed the 2 bites I had because the seasoning was delicious. Hubby had the gyro platter - pita bread with slices of gyro meat and tzatziki sauce on the side, a Greek salad, and baked/fried thin potato wedges. I tried the gyro fixins and they were tasty. We split a galaktoboureko dessert - a custard in phyllo dough - that hubby liked more than me. (I think Ethos restaurant's galaktoboureko is better), It tasted like it wasn't made today. The coffee was pretty good too. We didn't plan on eating Greek food for dinner, but all in all it was a good meal.
We have been enjoying the food and service at this restaurant for many years. The food never disappoints, and the service is usually very good. When the place gets busy the service does suffer a bit, but it's not bad, just a little slower. We hadn't been here for a while so we were looking forward to some great food. It was just as good as ever. The lamb kabob special was excellent, and I had enough for lunch the next day. Our oldest son ordered the swordfish and was very satisfied. The portion was enough to fill up a ravenous teenager. The youngest had the keftadakia platter (his favorite). Stefano the server was great! It was good to see that Mezes still serves great food and we look forward to coming back again.

If you love food, you must try this hidden gem! The food here is wonderful, always consistent and delicious. You can never go wrong with the lemon chicken or calamari salad. It's a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and flavor.

Great Greek salads and gyros, my mother loves this place. Make sure you have some of their hummus and pita bread, you won't know how to stop eating it. I'd give 5 stars but my server was a little on the careless side my last visit. Don't let that deter you, though. The food is fantastic.

After having a middle eastern kick for some time I had to check out Mezzes it looks so good on Yelp. It's in a strip mall plaza beside Big Lots. As soon as you enter the restaurant there's huge display cases of sliced and plated Baklava, other pastries, and more. We asked for a booth and noticed there too be an older crowd, seemed like regulars. Good pita bread, the hummus was okay. We ordered calamari to start. It could have been more tender but there was such a huge portion , and on top of lettuce, with the garlic Greek potato sauce called Skoradalia. This was very tasty and rich I thought it was mayo based! There is no tomato sauce with the squid but that sauce is delish. I ordered the Kefedes pita with rice. Kefedes is spicy beef patty- kinda like a hamburger . They used mixed greens in the wrap. It was good. My husband ordered the gyro platter. The fries are frozen, and the gyro meat is too. I wouldn't order it again. We had to ask to waiter to fill our waters, he forgot came back and see asked again. I think the waiters cover many tables at a time. We got the baklava to-go and it was great. It wasn't memorable food at all , makes me empowered to cook this food from the freezer for myself at home.

This is not super duper fancy, but it is authentic Greek food. At least I believe it is but I am not Greek - so move over gyroville. It's located in a shopping center that you would not think twice about stopping by but I promise fear not the food is worth it. What to order: Don't be scared I didn't understand the menu either but I can tell you the food was mouth watering just ask the waiter to explain. Be advised this is off the lunch menu! Start with the pita bread + hummus because it is house made hummus and the pita bread is soft and warm I ordered a grilled chicken gyro with the classic tzatziki sauce & veggies. It is not a fancy place but if you are interested in good greek food this is the place.

Mezes offers a unique menu and enjoyable food. Eight of us went to try out this restaurant. The level of service for handling such a vocal group of food lovers passed the test. The server was a little slow and inattentive but he made sure that the pita bread kept flowing from the kitchen to the table. Fresh and warm pita bread is served for the table with one ramekin of hummus. The first one is free, the second is not. But the hummus is great! The dip platter best suited for 2 - 4 people stretched across 8 and was accompanied by grilled octopus and more. The food here is flavorful and the restaurant is clean. I would recommend visiting here for Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Easy and enjoyable.
Three stars because the food and price is good. However service was sub par. And the cleanliness too. Condiments dirty and sticky. Tables sticky.

Mezes is one of my new favorite lunch spots now that I work in the area. The gyro and chicken souvlaki are my go-to's . The tzatziki is has the perfect consistency and tang. I usually order a side to dip the potato wedges that come with the sandwiches. Service is friendly and quick if your in a hurry. The prices are reasonable for the quality you are getting.

My sister's boss, Rick brought her and I here for lunch, raving about how this was an amazing authentic Greek restaurant. Immediately after walking in, I enjoyed the Greek-ish homey feel from the way the booths are decorated and set up. Each table is automatically served with soft pita and home made hummus as an appetizer. We started off with an appetizer called Sagonaki and it was absolutely EXCELLENT! I'm a cheese lover and I approve. it's literally a big thick piece of Greek cheese that has been fried so that the top is crispy, and when they serve it, they set it on fire at the table and drizzle lemon juice from a fresh wedge. It's BURSTING with flavor. I highly recommend this for those who are a big fan of cheese. I ordered the chicken gyro platter and my two dates went with the lamb gyro player. I nipped from Chantelle's plate to try the lamb, which was perfectly tender and yummy when you dip it just a little in the cucumber sauce they serve the platter with. No complaints about their lamb here! My chicken platter was fire! Juicy chicken cut into strips, served with soft pita slices underneath, thick pieces of home made potato cut fries, and a side of olive oil + a dash of vinegar salad. The olives in the salad was what really gave it flavor. And dunk the chicken in cucumber sauce, the cooling flavor mixed with the savory chicken is fantastic. If I'm ever in browsed area craving Greek, I would without a doubt come back again!

We recently dined at Mezes and while our initial reaction was good - good service, good hummus, big crowd - we quickly realized that this place charges way too much money for mediocre food. The hummus was the best part of the meal. Overall, the best recommendation we could give would be to head there for some sangria and hummus.

This restaurant had potential, but thanks to my waiter Carlos, he ruined my experience. Never checked up on me to see how my food tasted, never refilled my water, tried to charge me for the complimentary hummus. I wanted to order more food, but how could I when my waiter never came around. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I was surprised. This place was greet. The decor was stylish and the restaurant was extraordinarily clean? The service was fast and servers were helpful and friendly. I ordered a gyro, they only places I have ordered gyros from are Miami subs and the Dade county fair so I am not really sure that counts even as food. The meat, lamb of course was delicious. Very tender and juicy, you could cut it with a fork. The pita it was served on tasted like it just came out of the oven, soft and fresh. The sauce, was the perfect blend of cucumber and yogurt, not overly bitter. The portion was defiantly enough to feed two, I had plenty for lunch the next day. Another cool take about Mezas is the free appetizer. Unlike your traditional places that serve bread and butter they serve pita and hummus. The pita like the gyro was soft, fluffy and fresh. The hummus defiantly made fresh, it went down sooth and had a good consistency blended with herbs. Great find for something out of the ordinary.

This is the first Greek restaurant I have tried in the area and it is pretty good. I hail from Tampa where nearby their is a Greek fishing village called Tarpon Springs. Best authentic Greek food you can get outside of Greece. This place was pretty good, just a little expensive for what you get. I ordered the shrimp saganaki (3 shrimp, baked in tomato, onion, garlic, olive oil) with feta. Very good, but for 13.95 I expected more than 3 shrimp (no sides came with this). I also ordered the Greek potatoes and the Rice as these are common accompaniments to Greek food from where I'm from. Very good, especially when you mix the Rice into the sauce that came with the shrimp. Also, every meal comes with pita bread and hummus appetizer. I will definitely be coming back, just might try to find somewhere a little less expensive.

Stumbled upon this place randomly one day , and I'm so happy I did ! First of all, the service is fabulous. The waitress we had was very friend and happy to help with any questions we had. The food was soooo good ! You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely be returning soon !

I've eaten here on several occasions and this was the last time. The service was horrible, slow and inefficient. The waiter couldn't explain the specials. Our food came long after several tables who arrived after us. We sat for at least 45 minutes before the entree came. Just before the waiter brought the entree he said they were out of green beans, a staple at this resturant. Nothing was impressive, save your money and move on. Try "my big fat Greek resturant" on Griffin road. It's has much better food and service!

Not a great first visit. I ordered take out and they told me 10 minutes and I have now been waiting 20 minutes inside the restaurant. It's a Thursday night and about 6 tables seated so I'm not sure why it's taking the kitchen so long. I am now annoyed and starving. So they're getting 2 stars from me!

Wow - took a chance based on mostly good reviews and am glad we tried it. Mid-sunday afternoon and it was nearly empty which is a bit disconcerting, but mid day on a sunday can be slow. The waiter was prompt and very nice. Offered to explain anything, but we got a basic feel for greek cuisine - although neither of us has had any for a very long time since there were none nearby our former home in Maine. Anyway, the pita and humus starter was great and then we had some spanikopita for an appetizer and we both thought it was very good - nicely seasoned and prepared. My wife had pork souvlaki and I had mousaka - the main item and the sides were excellent - everything tasted fresh and very home made - ish. Only complaint is my wife asked for no onions since they give her heartburn but they forgot so she had to pick them out as she was eating. Cooked onions are not so bad but fresh just do not settle well anymore. She really loved the pita, very fresh and the season was nice. My mousaka was my first - saw it on a food network show and thought it sounded good - it is - like a greek lasagna. Being so tasty we ate it all so were kinda full. Thus we ordered desserts to take home - walnut cake and baklava. A couple hours later we dug in - the walnut cake was tasty but we found it kind of dry - it needs more moisture in the recipe. The baklava was spot-on nearly perfect - excellent - one of the best I've had ever! We are definitely going to add this place to our rotation!

If you're looking for an authentic Greek lunch or dinner, Mezes wont' disappoint! I came here for a late lunch and was more than pleased. The gyros are flavorful and portions are good. Side dishes are great as well. The calamari for starters was probably some of the best I've tried at any restaurant. If you're hungry, I would try the Pasticio with green beans... amazing and probably enough for two. Overall, great atmosphere and awesome service. Our server was very energetic, attentive and helpful.

This is one of my favorite bargain restaurants in S FL! Tucked away in a very plain strip mall on the SE side of Pines and Palm, you walk inside Mezes and you can instantly see the care they've put into the decor and atmosphere. Super cute, yet serene and relaxing. You will be instantly greeted with a smile and if you've been in before, you will surely get a "Nice to see you again." Everything on the menu is super fresh, well seasoned and very tasty. Portions are huge. All meals come with fresh, warm pita bread and amazing garlicky hummus. I've been here so many times, I've had most everything on the menu, every one of them I would order again. A favorite? No, not really. Can't go wrong here. Just an all around friendly place to bring the family, meet a friend or even have a quiet date.

I'll get right to it. The food was pretty darn good, authentic Greek and delicious. We had traditional Greek salad, I added chicken to mine, lemon chicken soup, pork loin with salad & Pasticcio. The reason I only gave 3stars is that the service left ALOT to be desired. First it was a Monday around 1:45pm, not too busy maybe 7 tables in the whole restaurant. It took more than 5min to have someone acknowledge us and get our drinks and another 30min to get our food! This is a long time to wait when a place isn't busy. Our server got us whatever we asked for but showed no attentiveness to our needs without us having to ask. For example we requested for the bill when it was obvious we were done and then we had 5 plates still left on the table when the bill was dropped off. No, the server did not have their hands full either. Sigh.. Everything took too long and it just felt mediocre as far as service went. Would I go back? I suppose if I'm craving Greek cuisine I'll give it another try if I'm in the area and don't care about time.

Wants to eat an amazing food, GO TO MY GREEK FAT RESTAURANT. The 1st and the LAST time I come to this mediocre and rip off restaurant. First of all; the booth that we sat down it was SUPER DIRTY and very uncomfortable. Freaking incredible this restaurant still on business. We were a partie of 3. We ordered MEZES PLATTER price $30.00 a bunch of lettuce with no Greek dressing, Grilled Manouri 1 slice cut in half, 2 beef patties disgusted taste, 2 Greek sausage hard like cement and Tzatziki sauce better known As Water with yogurt horrible taste. As main course, we ordered two paellas no freaking taste. A lot of chicken, I mean grilled chicken!!! R u kidding? Grilled chicken on a paella? Each paella had 3 shrimps! Hellooooooo price $22.00 each. This restaurant is plain rip off! In a mussel shell, they filled it with chicken! Very disappointed and the place is so dirty. Whoever goes to this mediocre, thief restaurant and says is worth it... DON'T DO KNOW WHAT THEY TALKING ABOUT. Greek Family here. So we know what are we talking about. To cheirótero estiatório sti Florida!

This place is o-so-good! Delicious gyros... check! Warm, crunchy and flavorful potato wedges... check! Yummy garlicky hummus and pita bread... check! Scrumptious herbed lemon chicken... check! Fresh made sangria... check! Extra large, flakey, ewwey gooey baklava... check, check and check! What's not to love here.. not sure.

3.5 really! A strip mall Greek joint? We have to go to Pembroke Pines to eat here? Are you sure we can't just go to this place that's nearby? These are all questions I had as we took a ride to Mezes while my tummy grumbled in protest at the seemingly endless drive west to Pembroke Pines. When we arrived there was a tray of housemade spanakopita I could have sat down and eaten the whole tray, but instead we just ordered a slice. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely homemade and full of delicious spinach and feta. The hummus was just ok, but that happens to me a lot, I'm kind of a hummus snob. But dinner, was delicious! Pork souvlaki topped with tzatziki hugged by a delicious fluffy pita and some of the best restaurant fries I've had in a while. The whole time our service was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. Next time I'll try the moussaka!

Exceptional food and service. I love their Greek surf and turf featuring shrimp so large they look like lobster tails in a saganaki sause. The included lamb chops are cooked to perfection and have delicious flavor. They have a friendly and open atmosphere with a great menu selection with great authentic Greek dessert options including to die for baklava and galaktoboureko.

Gyro platter is big! Cheese saganaki is THE BEST! Baklava is the best I've ever had. This place is nice for dinner. You can get cheaper Mediterranean food but the quality and authentic nature if this place is second to none. Everything I've tried, I love. Can't wait to return and try the moussaka!

Great quality Mediterranean food. Based on another Yelpers review I had the pork soulvaki. Wonderful flavor and really moist kabob. Son had mussels and he loved. Wife had grilled shrimp out of this world. Really good hummus like others have mentioned. Will be back many times. Healthy food that is tasty! Only 4 star because portion size could be larger.

Ok so I've had a lot of Greek in my time.. first let's start off by saying the decor was relatively middle of the road to above average. Was seated right away. Started off with the traditional hummus and pita which by the way was as good as it gets for hummus. second was the smashed eggplant also known as baba ganoush. Spectacular!!! I ordered the grilled shrimp which came with a wonderful lemon rice and green beans that was just phenomenal. Shrimp were humongous and tasty but I can't get over those green beans.. not a big one to pick on the little vegetable but the little vegetable far out did everything else on my plate. Really good solid Greek food. I would put this on my top 5 in Broward. Youll be saying the same once you stop in and put this one on the hit list

I love greek and Mediterranean food. This jem is located 2 doors down from where I work and we like the friendly staff and the delish food that they serve. Its better to eat jere during lunch. The portions are perfect and the price is affordable. The platters are great for sharing and order the appetizers.

Food and service is inconsistent. I have been here five times and at times the food and service was great and at other times it was mediocre to poor. I normally get the chicken platter. Sometimes it's unbearably salty and sometimes it's tolerable. I guess it depends on the chef at the day.

This place is amazing! It's been a while but I went there with my date and we had such a great time. We still remember our short Greek server. He was very nice, talkative and took good care of us and our table. The food was amazing and price was very reasonable. We had a view of the tv which was running the opening to the Olympics. One of these days I'm definitely going to make it back to this place!

Best Greek food in Broward County! Quick service and generally attentive! I really enjoy their chicken souvlaki with extra tzatziki. It's always served at the perfect temperature with the best potato wedges--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also like their Greek salad with grilled chicken. The chicken is moist and flavorful, and I'm reasonably sure the feta is fresh and their simple oil and vinegar dressing is perfect! The waitstaff is generally good--sometimes slow if they are busy, but if you go at an off time, the food comes out very quickly and they do a better job with drink refills. I love their baklava! Flaky, sweet, and delicious! This is one of our favorite restaurants, for sure. The food is consistently excellent, service is good, and the place is always very clean, even the bathrooms.

This is a great place to grab a quick, delicious bite -- any time of the day. My personal favorites are the cheese saganaki, the manouri salad, the keftedakia platter and of course, the baklava!
Mezes Greek Taverna is great! It's in East Pines and you might miss it, but Mezes has great Greek food. For dinner, I ordered the saganaki. I love saganaki. I'd recommend, however, that this one has a touch less brandy. It tastes very alcoholic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The chicken souvlaki was great, and they have a great, extensive wine menu. Our waitress was AWESOME too. I've been a few times and she is always out there helping. I think her name is Betty? She is an older Hispanic woman. Anyway, she was the only one working on a busy night, and she did it with ease, made us smile, and gave us some of the most exceptional service I've ever seen. We'll be back, next time I'm in Florida!

Excellent food, no matter what you order. You would probably not know of this place if you didn't live in the area. That's why there is never much of a wait time, if any, to be seated. It is also very clean, even in the restrooms. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants.

This little hidden gem for a restaurant is amazing! From the fresh pita and homemade hummus. The sangria is delicious!! Try their shrimp is so fresh and big. The baklava is also homemade and not to sweet just right. I personally recommend this place :)

Great service and tasty food make this an awesome dining experience. I have tried the gyro platter and wrap as well as the half chicken platter. Both delicious. The wait staff is always friendly and eager to serve which is refreshing. The sangria is very good. The lunch specials are all delicious and come out fairly quickly. The humus and pita is amazing.

They are understaffed...we waited for everything, from table, extra pita and the tea never came. The food is ok but not excellent. We go often to My big fat greek restaurant and the food is definitely better than here. Not the best experience...

Overall: Great food and great service! Small mom & pop Greek joint in Pembroke Pines. You MUST try the baklava!!!!! They truly have the best baklava in South Florida! The Greek salad, roasted lemon potatoes, half lemon chicken, gyro meat and Greek paella are also all delicious!

What great food! We had the spicy feta dip as an appetizer then my husband had the special ( skirt steak) and I had salad with the grilled cheese and added chicken. I felt like I was back eating at my Greek friends house. Wonderful food! Great service ! Yummy hummus. Go. So much better then all the chains in the area.

Delicious Greek food. Everything we've had, we loved from this place. I think it's on the pricier side but the food is spectacular so I can't complain... I don't mind paying for GREAT food. The servers are great, attentive and nice. They have a nice selection of wines.

I just got back from my first meal at Mezes and am not surprised to see a solid 4 star rating. We ended up making a meal out of appetizers and were happy with everything we had. Our waitress was pleasant and made some good recommendations, so no complaints. Tirokafteri (spicy feta spread): Tasty and had just enough heat to be interesting b ut not painful. Hummus: plenty of garlic. Yum. Grilled octocpus: This was the star for me. Tender and wonderfully charred, with a pleasant tang from the vinegar. I could easily eat a huge plate of this. Keftedakia (sirloin and lamb patties): These were a close second favorite. Juicy and very flavorful. Loukaniko (grilled citrus flavored sausage): Not nearly as citrusy as I was hoping for, and it was tough. Not sad I tried it, probably won't order it again. Grilled Vegetables: Yum and yum. The firm cheese that came with it was salty and grilled and very good. Fried Zucchini: Good. My friend enjoyed it more than I did. The garlic sauce was the best part for me. Probably wouldn't order this again, either, but only because I am a bigger fan of the grilled flavors.

First time here. First off, id rather go to taverna opa in hollywood. but let me explains: Seated immediately. Pita and hummus were fair at best. Chicken over cooked and hard to eat. Spinach pie, fair. Greek salad had minimal dressing and it felt like I was just eating lettuce. Waste of time and money, leaving now still feeling hungry. Server was good, he replaced chicken with spinach pie. Spinach pie was not bad, but edible. If you want great Greek food, go to Taverna Opa. I've NEVER had a bad meal there. I'm not coming back here ever again.

As soon as I walked into Mezes, the aroma of Greek food consumed me, it smelled delicious. The hummus and pita tasted fresh and homemade. I ordered their version of a Greek burger. It was juicy and full of flavor. I was completely satisfied with my meal. I recommend coming to Mezes for lunch; cheaper prices and big portions. I'm definitely coming back when I have the chance.

this place is near my home in SOuth FL, I found this place through the local yelpers. I went in there and it was packed. So I decided to order to go. I ordered a lot of 4 appetizers, 2 entrees and a dessert. Food - 3/5 Although I took to the food to go, the portion were small. I ordered a cold dish that consisted of hummus and babaganoush. I was happy with the hummus, but extremely disappointed with the very liquid baba gananoush. I ordered 2 Gyro platter, and a baklava. I was satisfied with the Gyro platter, but disappointed with the tzatziki sauce. too much sour cream. Baklava - was awesome though. Atmosphere - 3/5 I didn't stay there very long but I saw the inside, It was a small place but it was decorated very nice modern bar style. The tables were extremely close and you had to talk loud. It was a very loud place. Service - 4/5 - I did not wait very long for my food. I was surprised about that, because the place was extremely busy. So I was happy about that.

One of my favorite resturants in all of South Florida, including Miami Beach, Brickell, Wynwood etc.. best great food in South Florida. Always great service. Stuffed Peppers are awesome. If you like Greek food there is no way you would love this place.

I picked this restaurant based in its yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic. I had veal skirt steak with grilled peppers and lemon roasted potatoes. I will definitely be back.

Ilene F.
The food is consistently good...they have awesome hummus and my 2.5 yr old loves the gyros...however...the service can be quite slow, especially if the owners are not there. We take out a lot from there, and I find it quite annoying that they refuse to add hummus to the togo orders but it's included if I sit down to eat...no matter what I order.

Arleen L.
Really great food. Love the fresh hummus and warm pita given to you when you arrive. Their grilled octopus appetizer is simply amazing. You can never go wrong with their juicy lamb chops, order them cooked medium. For dessert you need to order one of their baklava. Wow!

After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to a Greek meal. HOWEVER, it was just OK. I started with Pita bread and Hummus. I could not taste any garlic, none. Then I had the Spanakopita. Again, it was bland, very little Feat. Then I had the Greek Paella. AGAIN, very bland. I could not taste the scallions or the white wine. Please note, the food was not bad, it just had no flavor. On a good note, the service was very good. I will not go out of my way to eat here again. Actually, I will not eat here again.

Went here recently after hearing rave reviews from my family and if a place has a solid 4 star rating on Yelp, then I'm game. I ordered the grilled octopus and it was tasty but it was missing something and it tasted a bit burned, it was grilled though and a lemon wedge, tomatoes, and cucumbers can with it. I ordered the large Greek salad with gyro meat. This was a monster salad! I'm guessing at least 3 cups of lettuce, with cucumbers, tomatoes, and three hunks of feta cheese that was delicious! there were also olives and red onions and the meat came up on top of the lettuce. It was really good, I'd go back again just for that salad alone. My family ordered the flaming cheese and it looked awesome but it doesn't hold a candle to Cava's (Northern Virginia) version. My aunt ordered a skirt steak (IDK why but whatever) it looked decent and was tasty and it came with red peppers and some awesome looking potatoes! The place isn't authentic but so far the food is good, the service was good, so I would go and eat again.

The orzo pasta is awesome. But my favorite is the gyro salad. Im not the type to order a salad but this salad I can't help it. The gyro meat is amazing and so is the goat cheese. I think about it every time I drive by. Best Greek I may have ever had.

Mona K.
I came here for lunch - honestly not having great expectations since I have yet to find a great Greek restaurant in Miami. I ordered the Mezes Greek Salad and asked if they can put olives in the salad.. Now what Greek salad doesn't have olives!! Not only did my salad not come with olives but when I ordered them on the side they tell me after giving it to me that I would be charged for the extra olives! I wouldn't have cared but I do wish they told me that earlier and let me have olives in my salad!!!!!! Anyways least to say I am not sure I will be going back again!! :-)

Our almost weekly visit to this place is always a delight. It's been pleasant all the time since we started coming here. My husband and I almost start with sangria and medium spicy fried feta cheese with tomatoes. Oh, the cheese saganaki is so entertaining! My favorite is the lamb chops. It's perfectly medium and tender with a just right citrus and herb taste! Our last treat to end the night? Galaktoboureko! I could die tomorrow!

Excellent food, courteous staff, moderate prices. Nice place for a change of pace from the usual boring meal. Must go back again soon.

Typical greek restaurant- good food, decent service, cheap. The portions are big so they can easily be shared and have to take home, unless you want to be a fatty. Their warm pita and hummus was really good and definitely recommended. The service was eh- it took forever to get some water, but for the price, you can't expect too much.

I've been eating here for two years about once a month. I've never been disappointed. Though I mostly order the same salad with gyro meat. Large portions. Friendly staff. Consistent. Haven't been for dinner - just lunch.

Best Greek restaurant in South Florida. I have been here numerous times and have ordered take out as well. Love the grilled octopus. I also really enjoy the hummus. I am gluten intolerant and they always bring me sliced cucumbers for dipping instead of pita. Lamb-chops are outrageous. I lived in Detroit for over 20 years where Greek town is a well known area for Greek dining and Mezes is just as good. Service has improved over the years as well.

Mehgan K.
My husband and I love this place. Anytime we have family coming into town, we make sure we stop by Mezes for dinner. Pros: Delicious, quality, fresh food. Great wine (try the Greek Nemea red wine, it goes great with the Gyros). We love their Gyros platter, Greek salad, hummus and warm pita bread, moussaka, dolmas, spanakopita. Their baklava is amazing. Cons: Their paella is $27! That's just enough to make me not want to order it. What if I don't like it? And their service is kind of slow, even on nights when there's only one or two parties. Also, they used to have very friendly, attentive you men on their waitstaff, but recently, it's been women in their 20s-30s who ignore us and act annoyed when we flag them down for something. We'll continue to eat here, despite the cons listed above, since it's so close to our house and their food is so delicious. Some of the best Greek food I've had in years.

Mezes is a largely undiscovered (so far) Greek restaurant in the strip mall. Strip Mall? Yes, get over it! It's Florida, and 80% of the good restaurants are in strip malls. The food was delicious; huge portions, so we took home lunch AND dinner for the next day! My only complaint is that we could never finish a conversation without a server coming to check in on us. Easily fixed. Mezes, I love you!

We had Tarama & Kafteri for appetizers. The Tarama was good but the Kafteri was made with cheap Feta cheese. Then we had the Talapia with capers and tomatoes. I must tell u I never eat Talapia simply because it's the blandest fish there is but they did it with lots of flavor and the dish was excellent. Highly recommended. For dessert we ordered the greek yogurt with nuts. I use to order it in my favorite NY Greek restaurants (Milos, Elias & Trata) but in this restaurant it was a complete disappointment. There was hardly any honey and nuts and they don't put dried fruit on top. When done right this is the healthiest and the most delicious dessert there is but not in this restaurant.

This little gem hidden in a strip mall has been there about 5 years give or take. There is a reason very simply it's a family owned business with consistently good food at reasonable prices. I don't recall ever having a bad meal there. The wine selection is pretty good but usually I go with a Greek house white wine. Fresh food takes time so if you want speed go to McDonald's. Come in sit down have a drink and relax. Quite atmosphere so don't come and cause a rukus. But do bring your hunger. It's all good. It's a clear 4 stars bordering on 5 but to get 5 you would have to be fancy. But the food is worthy of the 5th star.

Love this place for a good quality gyro, which is so unlike the fast food gyros that so many places serve. I have eaten here on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. They have a very complete menu of traditional Greek dishes. I keep promising myself that I am going to save room for the baklava one day, but it has not happened yet. Maybe if we stop in for just coffee and dessert one night...yeah, that's what we'll do!

I visit this Restaurant quite a bit during my lunch break, i love it here. the food is great tasting and never disappoints. the pita bread with humus is quickly placed on the table when you are seated. The humus has a garlic taste that is just so good. I have ordered many different dishes, i have tried the Gyro on Pita, Traditional greek salad with chicken, gyro platter, Spanakopita Platter.... all very yummy especially with a side of tzatiki sauce. The baklova is ok, but i that ordered only once.

Harvey D.
This place was pretty good. I had the gyro platter which comes with a salad and fries. The salad was a decent size and they give you enough lamb to pretty much fill you up. I sat outside which was kind of cool because the restaurant is located in a strip mall so you can watch all the people walk to and fro. My waiter was actually fairly unique in that he went to cooking school and had worked as a chef in varioius restaurants although he was only waiting tables at this place. He was very attentive even though I was the only one sitting outside that night. The only slightly downgrading mark was that he was ready to leave about halfway through my meal. He took off his apron and was putting things in his car and kind of just hanging around in front of the restaurant like he was anxious for me to finish my meal. He wasn't rushing me specifically; however, it felt a little awkward. Overall, I did have a nice meal, though and I would definitely go back if I was in the mood for Greek/Mediterrean food and happened to be in this area.

We went back for lunch. This time service was painfully slow. We were seated with drink orders taken promptly, but we sat there without menus for over 10 minutes (and only got them when we flagged down a waitress). Then it was another 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. Meanwhile, people kept coming in and being seated and and an order was taken from someone for takeout. The Mezes salad was good as before, but the chicken platter was nothing special. But with service this bad, we won't be going back soon.

We have been to many "blah" greek restaurants here in South Florida, but Mezes is anything but. It has become our family's favorite Greek Restaurant. The quality of the food is consistent and the service is excellent. Saganaki, Stuffed Peppers, Gyros, Lamb, everything we've ever ordered has been excellent. Great Greek Food = Mezes.

As with many strong suburban South Florida restaurants, one can't judge a book by its strip mall cover. Mezes is unassuming, tucked into one of the infinite strips on Pines, but the Greek food is certainly the best I've had in this area. Note that the portions are very large -- if you're with three people, you only need two entrees to be properly sated. All three mains we tried -- moussaka, youvetsi (lamb) and Chicken Athena -- were all well-prepared and delicious. Mezes also provides fresh (actually fresh!) hommus and pita...I could probably eat just that and be happy. The only gripe I had was the service -- things were a bit rushed, which didn't make sense given the half-empty restaurant. We were checked on...too many times? Is that possible? It felt a bit overwhelming.

I LOVE Greek food, but in So Fla what passes as Greek sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. I'm so glad we found Mezes, yes it's in a strip shopping center, it's Pembroke Pines...its all strip malls. The food is amazing. Entrees are large enough to share which is good because there are a number of cold and hot appetizers to try and the Avolemogno soup is delicious. You get warm pita and hummus too which is addictive. Service isn't overly attentive but helpful. Typical Greek dishes you expect as well as fish, seafood, meat and veggie dishes with Mediterranean influences. Given the quality and quantity of the food, I don't find the prices unreasonable. Do yourself a favor, try the Baklava too (we usually end up taking it home and eating it later when were not as full). Enjoy!

Let's see where do I begin? First of all it was a slow night as seeing upon arrival that most of the tables were empty. Our waitress was too busy taking care of another party behind us and taking her sweet time with us. I take it the reason she was clamming it up with the other patrons was because their check was going to be larger than ours being that we were only two in total. Let's put it this way we got there really early when it was empty, it got full for a moment and basically were the last to leave. Oh and last but not least, me and my mother got food poisoning. This place sucks!

I'm happy to see that an authentic Greek restaurant has made its home in Pembroke Pines. The food definitely speaks for itself at this restaurant, so I'm gladthat we got a chance to sample several items off of their menu. Upon sitting down, our waitress drops off a delicious basket of pita bread with a hummus-like spread. What a great little starter that was!! We ordered the greek sausage & roasted eggplant spread for the table. Both were delicious. For my entree, I selected the lamb shank which is served with orzo, green beans, & chopped tomatoes. The lamb was super tender and the flavor was spot on, so I was happy. My mom's fish (the seabass special) was a little too salty for our taste, so that's the reason for the 4 stars vs. 5. None the less it was still fresh and the accompaniments were delectable. Great spot for great Greek food with friendly service. They get an "A" from me.

Very good food. Everything was very fresh, and the Spanakopita was excellent, not too much cheese and lots of great tasting spinach. Their Baklava was huge, but not as good as I have had in other places. Overall, food and service were good.

We came by Mezes for the first time today and had a nice experience. The service was great - our waitress (Ana) brought us warm pita and dip right away and was very quick and nice with our drinks (and refills) and food. The food was good - I had a nice fresh Greek salad, and my boyfriend had the stuffed peppers, which were good as well though not the best I've tasted. Overall, good food, good price, good service.

Wifey & I do enjoy greek food, so we were pleasantly surprised to find out about Mezes (so close to our home too). This place does not belong in a strip mall. This establishment deserves its own front. The staff is very friendly, The owner ocasionally strolls by to ask if everything is ok. There is not one thing I've ordered from here that I did not like. I would recommend any dish from here. The vegetables prepared here are second to none...soo tasty, soo fresh. Please come by yourself or your family, have a greek beer & enjoy the ambiance & food....truly a keeper of a restaurant.

Great staff and knowledgeable, I had the gyro but learned the calamari isn't frozen, IT'S FRESH! comes on huge portions. I was upset at myself because I already ordered the gyro. Then the bread comes out with awesome hummus, don't miss the hummus!!!

Best Greek food in South Florida hands down. Fresh pita bread with a hummus. You have to try the tzatziki sauce (has fresh crisp cucumbers) and the lamp chops are out of this world.
(5)

Very tasty food at a reasonable price. The roasted peppers, Keftedakia, chicken kebabs, pasticio, and green beans are all very good.

This place is awesome! The service is great and the food is even better. Their servings are so large, we usually share a main dish so we can enjoy the delicious salad and hummus.

The food is really good and the service is attentive. It's in a strip mall but the inside decor is nice and the atmosphere is laid back. I've never been here for lunch, but I've been twice for dinner and never had to wait very long. The posrtions are generous and the food is fresh. Try their house wine; it was good and affordable.

Great food. I go here pretty regularly for lunch. On my last visit I went for dinner and the food was top-notch as usual, but the server was frazzled. I'm not sure if he was overworked, but he goofed one of our orders. This is the only time service has not been up to par and I'll be back again.

All about the food. The search for great meals in soFlo continues! And Mezes is another great find. We have been to quite a few bland so so Greek restaurants here, but we have finally found one that makes our taste buds sparkle. We have been here a couple times now and good experiences both times. The gyro dinner ($12.95) is excellent with a fresh greek salad, a generous portion of meat, plenty of fresh pita and fries or steamed greens (we go for the greens). Everything tastes exceedingly fresh. They have pepper mills and bottles of an amazing greek olive oil on every table and we use both. Portions are generous. Prices are moderate to high. Service is nice.

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Pretty place for a strip mall, prices are a little high for the type of food but the service is very friendly. Only been there once but would try it again, loved the sampler appetizer platter.
(3)Simon L.
(4)Jared M.
We love this place! The food is very fresh and authentic. My Greek friend recommended this to us and we really enjoyed it. It is located in a strip mall, so the atmosphere is not great, but go if you want really good Greek food.
(5)Thomas L.
(1)Robbie M.
Food is good, but a bit slow to serve.
(3)Josette L.
(2)Jennifer K.
Yes!! So happy I tried this place! Great, home cooked food! Good-sized portions and healthy! The ambiance is casual, but the food is delish!
(5)Laura W.

Gyro platter was Huge! Stuffed peppers were excellent. Great beer and wine! Would definitely come back.

Great Mediterranean food for good price, Will definitely come back and recommend to all! Tasty food light on palette. Grilled octopus was awesome!

After finding Mezes Greek Taverna on Yelp and reading some of its reviews decided to give it a try. The place is really cute with stylish décor and very clean appearance. They have a few table set up outside if you decide to dine outdoors. A small bar is located on the left just after you pass their display case of delicious homemade desserts. We started out with Hummus and the Grilled octopus. The hummus was smooth and creamy and tasted delicious on the warm soft pita triangles that accompanied it. The octopus was soft and tender seasoned in traditional Greek style and was not chewy. Soon after came the Spanakopita, large flakey and full of spinach, only downside it was slightly over cooked. This was follower up by two salads; the Horiatiki which has no lettuce and the Mezes (I added grilled chicken). Both excellent with a wonderful citrus drsg. The chicken was out of control good! So soft, tender with grilled to perfection. We ended with two of their homemade desserts; the Baklava and a chocolate soufflé. I know what you're thinking......Chocolate soufflé at a Greek place?????? Yeah I thought the same thing but after seeing it in the display case I had to try it. I am chocolate junkie and this was by far one of the BEST soufflés I've had. It was light, fluffy and so yummy!!!!! The baklava was huge!!! Probably one of the biggest I've seen. It was so good with flakey filo dough and just the right amount of syrup. A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have made it a perfect 10 out of 10. Service was good, however we did get there early and the restaurant was pretty much empty so I don't know how service would be on a Friday or Saturday night. The restrooms were clean but no baby changing station. Will definitely go back.

(5)Sarah L.
If you love food, you must try this hidden gem! The food here is wonderful, always consistent and delicious. You can never go wrong with the lemon chicken or calamari salad. It's a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and flavor.
(4)Christian R.
I have been here twice with my wife and both times we have had great meals. The stuffed peppers, gyro platter, and hummus were all very tasty.
(4)Elie F.
Great Greek salads and gyros, my mother loves this place. Make sure you have some of their hummus and pita bread, you won't know how to stop eating it. I'd give 5 stars but my server was a little on the careless side my last visit. Don't let that deter you, though. The food is fantastic.
(4)Hope P.
(3)Cindy S.
(4)Mathew T.
(3)Regginale J.
Excellent food, polite friendly staff. Lemon pepper chicken was superb. Highly recommend.
(5)DR. DREE C.
Three stars because the food and price is good. However service was sub par. And the cleanliness too. Condiments dirty and sticky. Tables sticky.
(3)Grisel L.
(4)Kimberly K.

(3)Ario A.
(1)Brent S.

Overall good food.

(5)Terry T.
(1)Andrea P.
Service is amazing and food is even better ! Never have a had a more delicious gyro platter then here . You need to go try it for yourself ! The best part is the prices not at all on the pricey side
(5)Wade C.
Outstanding Greek. The food was fresh and the service was good. I had the app sampler and the chicken gyro. The fries are good too. Try it. The hummus is outstanding.
(5)Kayla L.
(2)Anntonette S.
I had the chicken platter with lemon potatoes and Greek salad. All delicious. Friendly staff, quick service, nice eat in area even though I took my food to go. Authentic stuff. I'm definitely going back.
(4)Tom M.
(4)Nancy R.
We love the avgolemono soup! Chunks of chicken lemony flavored creamy rice soup! The Mezes salad is excellent. The chicken platter and souvlaki are perfect!
(5)Sylvester N.
(5)Chris C.
(5)Haniet C.
Awesome, best Greek food ever!!! Highly recommended.
(5)Barb B.

(1)Nichole M.
This place is o-so-good! Delicious gyros... check! Warm, crunchy and flavorful potato wedges... check! Yummy garlicky hummus and pita bread... check! Scrumptious herbed lemon chicken... check! Fresh made sangria... check! Extra large, flakey, ewwey gooey baklava... check, check and check! What's not to love here.. not sure.
(4)Vanessa S.
(3)Angel M.
(5)Dakin S.
Service was efficient and the staff was friendly. The food was mediocre, nothing "amazing" but I did only order the gyro dinner so I'm not sure what I was expecting.
(3)Stephanie M.
(5)Steven A.
(4)Nene A.
You can't find better grilled Octopus, flaming cheese, great hummus, and delicious gyro, lamb chops or sea bass! I have been there a few times and everything is yum yum yum! Tell Marie Oscar sent you when you go.
(5)Paul D.
(4)Loralei P.
I love greek and Mediterranean food. This jem is located 2 doors down from where I work and we like the friendly staff and the delish food that they serve. Its better to eat jere during lunch. The portions are perfect and the price is affordable. The platters are great for sharing and order the appetizers.
(4)Kalvin K.
Food and service is inconsistent. I have been here five times and at times the food and service was great and at other times it was mediocre to poor. I normally get the chicken platter. Sometimes it's unbearably salty and sometimes it's tolerable. I guess it depends on the chef at the day.
(3)Mandy E.
Great food and excellent service!! Staff is so friendly. Definitely one of the best Greek restaurants I've been to so far.
(5)Al N.
The pita and hummus are delish. Plates are abundant and salads are done right. I am a regular here.
(4)Laz L.
(5)Melissa C.
My favorite restaurant in south Florida. Great food every single time. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is relax. Have visited monthly for years and never has disappointed.
(5)F K.
Delicious, fresh, tasty, clean, fast. Taylor, our server was sweet and knowledgable her suggestions were spot on! Can't wait to come back!!! Must try! If I give 10 stars, I would!
(5)Ronit N.
Thanks Yelp ...from your reviews I tried this try find and absolutely loved it....my picky son said the skirt steak was the best !!
(5)Heather S.
(5)Tanisha D.
This is a great place to grab a quick, delicious bite -- any time of the day. My personal favorites are the cheese saganaki, the manouri salad, the keftedakia platter and of course, the baklava!
(5)Suzi B.
What have I done....by not coming here sooner. This is a top notch Greek spot in Pembroke Pines. Excellent service and excellent food. From the moment we arrived on a Friday night we were delighted with the quick and friendly service. Our server, Sean, was awesome. Very helpful with his recommendations. Started with the cheese appetizer, hummus and pita. Both were incredible. Entrées were just as good. Steak cooked rare exactly like I ordered. But the star of the meal was the dessert, galako! House made and one of the best desserts I have ever had! Highly recommend Mezes!!
(5)Hannah P.

(5)Rogelio R.

(3)Ali H.
(5)Mary L.
(5)Patty G.

When there for the very first time and we love it ....great food great hummus !!!! The customer was good overall everything was great !!!!!
(5)Nicole V.
i have ordered take out from here on several occasions and have been quite happy. The portions are good and everything tastes fresh. i love the Greek Platter which lets you sample a little of everything. if you're in Pembroke Pines and like Greek food, this is a go to place!
(4)Ana G.
Mezes the best food Super service and highly recommended!!
(5)Monica G.

(5)Amy B.
I picked this restaurant based in its yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic. I had veal skirt steak with grilled peppers and lemon roasted potatoes. I will definitely be back.
(5)Ilene F.
(3)Arleen L.
Really great food. Love the fresh hummus and warm pita given to you when you arrive. Their grilled octopus appetizer is simply amazing. You can never go wrong with their juicy lamb chops, order them cooked medium. For dessert you need to order one of their baklava. Wow!
(4)Prad B.
Ask for Asterios. He is the best! Excellent grilled chik. Try the lemon potatoes. The location is very convenient.
(4)Rick G.
Our first time here and we loved everything. The dip assortment was great and we had a little trouble finishing our meals because there was so much food. All of it very tastey.
(5)Ekim E.
(2)Mileska R.
(4)Michael S.
The orzo pasta is awesome. But my favorite is the gyro salad. Im not the type to order a salad but this salad I can't help it. The gyro meat is amazing and so is the goat cheese. I think about it every time I drive by. Best Greek I may have ever had.
(5)Mona K.
(3)Shiela G.
(5)Tracy G.
Excellent food, courteous staff, moderate prices. Nice place for a change of pace from the usual boring meal. Must go back again soon.
(4)Maya G.
(3)Carl G.
I've been eating here for two years about once a month. I've never been disappointed. Though I mostly order the same salad with gyro meat. Large portions. Friendly staff. Consistent. Haven't been for dinner - just lunch.
(4)Karen C.
(4)Mehgan K.
(4)Jeremy Z.
nice place with good food and service
(4)Sherry H.
(5)Bruce B.
(3)Robert R.
(4)Esther B.
(4)Felicia R.
(4)Harvey D.

Good food, nice atmosphere and great old fashion service!!
(4)Naomi C.
(2)Immer R.
(5)Jason H.
(4)Antonio D.
Wow.. Lamb Chops it's ammazing as well as the roasted peppers.. Good service..
(4)Mari M.
Enjoy!

Loved everything

Let's see where do I begin? First of all it was a slow night as seeing upon arrival that most of the tables were empty. Our waitress was too busy taking care of another party behind us and taking her sweet time with us. I take it the reason she was clamming it up with the other patrons was because their check was going to be larger than ours being that we were only two in total. Let's put it this way we got there really early when it was empty, it got full for a moment and basically were the last to leave. Oh and last but not least, me and my mother got food poisoning. This place sucks!
(1)Jenaia F.
(4)Mauricio B.
Very good food. Everything was very fresh, and the Spanakopita was excellent, not too much cheese and lots of great tasting spinach. Their Baklava was huge, but not as good as I have had in other places. Overall, food and service were good.
(4)Kim L.
(4)Emilio M.
(4)Cary B.
Great staff and knowledgeable, I had the gyro but learned the calamari isn't frozen, IT'S FRESH! comes on huge portions. I was upset at myself because I already ordered the gyro. Then the bread comes out with awesome hummus, don't miss the hummus!!!
(4)Jorge G.
Best Greek food in South Florida hands down. Fresh pita bread with a hummus. You have to try the tzatziki sauce (has fresh crisp cucumbers) and the lamp chops are out of this world.
(5)Leela H.
Very tasty food at a reasonable price. The roasted peppers, Keftedakia, chicken kebabs, pasticio, and green beans are all very good.
(5)Paola D.
This place is awesome! The service is great and the food is even better. Their servings are so large, we usually share a main dish so we can enjoy the delicious salad and hummus.
(5)Ikam A.
(3)Michael V.
Great food. I go here pretty regularly for lunch. On my last visit I went for dinner and the food was top-notch as usual, but the server was frazzled. I'm not sure if he was overworked, but he goofed one of our orders. This is the only time service has not been up to par and I'll be back again.
(4)Eric S.
Awesome food, frendly staff, great service. I'm not a expert in Greek cuisine but eveything we tried was great.
(5)Amber T.
